Covid 19 Precautions

For the safety of our visitors, volunteers, and artists, we are encouraging the use of masks. We ask that all visitors respect any precautions any artists have posted in their booth. Please utilize the additional hand sanitizing stations we are providing. With concern over community spread, and additional regulations, we will not be providing a shuttle service for the 2021 festival. Please feel free to drop off passengers at the Broadway entrance before finding parking in downtown Madison. Thank you for your understanding, and doing your part to keep us all healthy and safe.

About

On the last full weekend of September each year, Madison’s National Landmark Historic District welcomes thousands of visitors during the two-day Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art. Come and experience Southern Indiana’s premier outdoor juried arts & crafts festival featuring approximately 200 exhibitors. This festival is free to the public and designed for the whole family to enjoy.

In addition to the fine artists and craftsmen showcasing their handmade work, the festival features continuous live entertainment, a riverfront food fest, kid’s activities, and an entertainment garden with local craft beer and wine available.

Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art is a non-profit organization operating under the umbrella of Visit Madison, Inc. For the last 50 years, a committee of volunteers and coordinators have worked hard to ensure this festival has something for everyone. Along with them, hundreds of volunteers, City of Madison employees and the Mayor of Madison work together to make the entire Chautauqua weekend a success.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the 2021 Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art which will be September 25 & 26, 2021.

We are once again honored to be named one of Madison's Best! Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and all those who voted us Madison's Best Attraction. Thank you to all the artists who helped vote us one of Sunshine Artist 200 Best for the past 10 years.
